Day 02 - Move it...or the Elf gets it

It's time to get more movement into your day but first...a note about not being perfect.

We had one those 'Elf on the shelf' dolls/toys/shameful parenting devices. The idea is move the 'Elf' every night to a new place and use it to bribe your kids into good behaviour - "the Elf is watching you".

I'm sure it's great fun for the kids but for us, rather than enchant our kids with the magic... it showed us up to be rather crap parents. We forgot to move that stinking little Elf on too many occasions.

Don't set yourself up to fail.

The Wellteam motto is 'Do what you can, where you are, with what you've got'.

And...if your Elf turns out to be a drunkard, who's too lazy to get a proper job, which is why he only gets a few days work once a year sitting on his skinny little arse...ours did too.

Now, in the Wellteam spirit, move for the next 10 days with two key focuses:

  1. Find some stairs somewhere in your life and use them as often as you can.

  2. When you're parking amidst all the Christmas shopping carnage, park further away, walk a little. Not parking? Walk for 5 minutes or more.

Do these two things, daily and you'll be adding benefits every day.

And if you see a little red Elf out there named 'Frankie', keep walking, he's a trouble maker.
