You may have seen these closed-shell racing trikes at Victoria Park racecourse but did you know they can be maintaining averages up around 60kph? That's fast for human-powered vehicles.

On top of just the speed, the 'laid-back' experience of driving/riding one of these is pretty cool, especially in the tight corners. Rather than just wonder...let's get you in a trike and try it for yourself.

Norwood International High School has one of the most competitive trike racing teams in Australia and to help them fundraise for more equipment, we'll test out their current trikes for them.

You will need to book in for a 30 minute trike experience ($50) and will be on the course at Victoria park in groups of 5. We have been offered three time slots from 7.30am and it is first in, first served (15 riders only).

Trikes are all carbon fibre, Trump racing trikes and are some of the best in class trikes on the circuit today.

Once our 15 slots have been used, the remainder will be spectators.

Use this link to book in and for more details.... get in quickly.

NOTE:

1. No previous experience required.

2. The cockpits of these vehicles are reasonably tight so if you're not great in tight spaces...spectating will be good fun.

3. This is a Norwood International High School Fundraising event - all bookings through NIHS trybooking page.

Here's a bit of the action at a Pedal Prix Race.
